The scenic hill stations of the Galiyat region in northern Pakistan have received fresh snowfall, turning the area into a winter wonderland and attracting large numbers of tourists. Popular destinations including Nathia Gali, Ayubia, Dunga Gali, and Thandiani were covered in a white blanket of snow, creating picturesque views and a sharp drop in temperatures.

According to local authorities, intermittent snowfall and cold winds have intensified the winter season across Abbottabad district and surrounding mountainous areas. Roads leading to the Galiyat were cleared by district administration and rescue teams to ensure safe travel, while tourists were advised to use snow chains and follow safety guidelines due to slippery conditions.

Hotels and guesthouses reported a surge in bookings as families and visitors from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other cities rushed to enjoy the snowfall. Children and tourists were seen making snowmen, skiing on slopes, and capturing photos of the snow-covered pine forests and hills.

However, officials urged visitors to avoid overcrowding and unnecessary travel during heavy snowfall spells. Rescue 1122 and local administration remained on alert to respond to emergencies, while traffic police managed vehicle flow on key roads.

The latest snowfall has not only boosted tourism and local business in the Galiyat but also helped increase water reserves and improve the region’s winter landscape. Weather experts predict more cold weather and possible light snowfall in the coming days, keeping the region in the grip of winter.

The Galiyat continues to remain one of Pakistan’s most popular winter destinations, offering breathtaking scenery and a refreshing escape for tourists seeking snowfall and natural beauty.
